Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Are you like us though and wondering what to do with all that extra candy? No worries, you can actually donate the candy to the fighting men and women who serve this country bravely day and night! How cool is that???
Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops Program (based in Texas) will ship your donated candy to deployed service members around the world or distribute to veterans in VA Hospitals across the country for a sweet treat. You can even register your business to become a collection site and collect extra candy from your community! This year their goal is to collect 17,000
pounds of candy for our troops and veterans.
UNFORTUNATELY if you live near me in the Ventura County area there are no drop off locations but businesses are able to sign up to be a collection site so maybe someone who reads this blog will feel inspired.
