You are not going to want to miss the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in L.A. that was ranked the #1 best immersive experience of 2021 by USA Today.
Clarification – This is NOT the same Van Gogh exhibit that most recently played at the Lighthouse ArtHouse.
The Van Gogh Immersive Experience, produced by Exhibition Hub, is a unique exhibition that spans over 20,000 square feet and that allows visitors to completely immerse themselves in the world of Vincent Van Gogh. The exhibition features more than 400 of Van Gogh’s works, including his famous paintings, sketches, and letters. Visitors can explore the exhibition at their own pace, taking in the stunning visuals and learning more about the life and work of this iconic artist.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience spans over 20,000 square feet and features a series of museum galleries that provide in-depth detail into the artist’s life, works and techniques. The show’s crown jewel – two large-scale immersive galleries – bring more than 400 of Van Gogh’s works to life using 4K projection mapping as part of a captivating, 360-degree light and sound spectacle that has been called a “must see” by media across the U.S.

The exhibition is a fully immersive experience, with the central draw being a 360-degree digital show that brilliantly brings Van Gogh’s masterpieces to life. The projections animate all the walls around the visitors, creating a truly immersive experience. The sound and light show runs on a loop with no beginning or end, allowing visitors to stay as long as they like.
The exhibition has been praised for its attention to detail, with Exhibition Hub‘s commitment to accuracy and authenticity evident in every aspect of the experience. From the carefully selected music to the high-quality projections, every element of the exhibition has been designed to provide visitors with a truly unforgettable experience.
Van Gogh Immersive Experience Overview
The Van Gogh Immersive Experience is an exhibition hub that offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Vincent van Gogh. The exhibition features a variety of multimedia installations that use cutting-edge technology to bring the paintings of the Dutch artist to life.
Imagine reclining back in one of the picturesque sling back chairs as you let the music soar around you as an anonymous male narrator wraps you up in an emotional blanket while reading Van Gogh’s very own words as the digitalized art swirls around you.
Visitors can expect to see a range of Van Gogh’s most famous works, including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “The Bedroom.” The installations use projections, soundscapes, and other sensory elements to create an immersive experience that transports visitors into the world of the artist. There is even a physical replica of “The Bedroom” with chair and bed where guests can pose and get that perfect Instagrammable picture.

The Van Gogh Immersive Experience is a great opportunity for art lovers to experience the work of one of the most famous artists in history in a new and exciting way. The exhibition hub is suitable for visitors of all ages and is a must-visit for anyone interested in art, technology, and immersive experiences.
Use of Technology at Van Gogh The Immersive Experience
The exhibition utilizes state-of-the-art technology to create a visually stunning and immersive environment. Visitors are surrounded by high-resolution projections of Van Gogh’s artwork, which are displayed on the walls and floor of the exhibition space. The use of 360-degree projection mapping technology creates a seamless and fully immersive experience.
In addition to the visual elements, the exhibition also incorporates a variety of audio effects. Visitors are treated to a soundtrack that includes music and sound effects that help to enhance the overall experience. The sound effects are designed to complement the visuals and create a fully immersive environment.
Artistic Interpretation at Van Gogh The Immersive Experience
The Van Gogh Immersive Experience is not a traditional art exhibition. Instead, it is an artistic interpretation of Van Gogh’s work that seeks to create an emotional connection between the viewer and the artwork. The exhibition uses a variety of techniques to achieve this goal.
One of the most notable techniques used in the exhibition is the use of movement. The projections of Van Gogh’s artwork are not static. Instead, they are in constant motion, which creates a sense of movement and life within the artwork. This movement helps to bring the artwork to life and creates a more emotional connection with the viewer.

Another technique used in the exhibition is the use of color. The projections of Van Gogh’s artwork are not limited to the colors that were used in the original paintings. Instead, the colors are enhanced and manipulated to create a more vibrant and immersive environment. This manipulation of color helps to create a more emotional connection with the viewer and enhances the overall experience.
Overall, the use of technology and artistic interpretation in the Van Gogh Immersive Experience creates a unique and engaging experience for visitors. The combination of visual and audio elements helps to create a fully immersive environment that brings Van Gogh’s artwork to life in a new and exciting way.
Why You Should Visit Van Gogh The Immersive Experience
Have I whet your appetite? Are you craving a visit to Van Gogh The Immersive Experience while it is in Montebello at 1345 N. Montebello Boulevard, Montebello, California?
If I might, I would like to reiterate just how much I loved the show’s crown jewel – a 4K projection mapping as part of a captivating, 360-degree light and sound spectacle that has been called a “must see” by media across the U.S.
Imagine reclining back in one of the picturesque sling back chairs (for sale in the gift shop) or resting on one of the plush rugs as you let the music (a soundtrack is also available for purchase in the gift shop – one which I sorely regret not buying when I was there) soar around you as an anonymous male narrator wraps you up in an emotional blanket while reading Van Gogh’s very own words as the digitalized art swirls around you.

It is, dare I say, like a warm embrace that you almost regret having to walk away from to experience the rest of the exhibition. But you need not fear because next up is the fantastic and unique VR experience (included with the VIP ticket and/or as an add-on for general admission tickets) that brilliantly takes you through the day in the life of Van Gogh.
Other highlights: an immersive room the combines Van Gogh’s art with Japanese influences and an art studio where you can be the creator of your own art to be added to their virtual gallery.
