Rogers The Musical will run from June 30th through August 31, 2023 as part of a limited-time summer offering!
As part of Disney 100th Anniversary, Disneyland Resort presents “Rogers: The Musical” – an all-new, one-act musical theater production – at the Hyperion Theater (Former home of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion and Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular) in Disney California Adventure Park for a limited time from June 30 through Aug. 31, 2023. It is a classic tale of heroes, time travel and romance.
What is Rogers the Musical About?
The new one act musical production of Rogers the Musical draws inspiration from the fictional Broadway musical theater sequence featured in Disney+ series Hawkeye.
Chronicling the life of Steve Rogers from his origin story in the 1940s to the events of Avengers: Endgame, the half hour musical runs non-stop without taking much time to breathe doing an excellent job of pleasing their die-hard Avengers fans and also helping enlighten Disneyland attendees who might not have watched the entire collection of Marvel movies and tv shows.
Why Rogers the Musical is a Must-See Experience at Disney California Adventure
Attendees at the first preview for Rogers the Musical this week were in love. The catchy music fans love such as “Star Spangled Man” and “Save the City” are there in all their glory as are five new songs by Christopher Lennertz, Jordan Peterson, and Alex Karukas.
The cast of Rogers the Musical is very talented from the ensemble of Avengers and New Yorkers to the talented actors who play Steve Rogers, Nick Fury, Peggy Carter, and the fantastic Greek Chorus. They do a fabulous job of bringing the famous Marvel characters to life at The Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure.
Coupling the performances with Sarah Kobayashi‘s fierce choreography and Jordan Peterson‘s fast paced direction, the cast of Rogers the Musical does an amazing job making the thirty minutes fly by as they speed through the history of Steve Rogers, aka. Captain America.
- Fans of musicals will love the catchy tunes and the fabulous casting choices.
- Fans of Marvel will love the homage paid to their favorite superheroes.
- Fans of diversity will love the color blind casting with Asians, Latinos, and African Americans in leading and featured roles.
I would not be surprised if the limited time show is extended or the show itself is extended and made into a Broadway musical like its predecessors have been.

Rogers the Musical features a book by Hunter Bell (Disney Cruise Line’s Villains Tonight!) and both music from Captain America: The First Avenger (including “Star Spangled Man” by Alan Menken and David Zippel) and original songs from Christopher Lennertz, Jordan Peterson, and Alex Karukas.
