The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing Newbury Park 55-year-old.
Julian “Troy” Courtney-Soper was last seen at his home in Newbury Park on June 26, 2019. His family received text messages that led them to believe he might be suicidal. Courtney-Soper may also be in possession of a handgun that he took with him when he left.
There is no known destination for Courtney-Soper, and he may have left the house on foot.

The body of a Newbury Park resident, who was reported missing on June 26, 2019, was found last week in a wooded area near Hillcrest Drive.
On July 5, 2019, hikers located the body of Julian “Troy” Courtney-Soper and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. An investigation confirmed the deceased person was Julian Courtney-Soper, and there was no evidence of a crime or foul play.
