Netflix has been a mixed bag of late. With competition coming at it from all parts of the internet it’s good to see solid favorites in the queue.
Here are just a few favorites I highly recommend you check out:
[JULY 9th] Mary Poppins Returns (2019) – Everyone’s favorite British nanny comes to Netflix on 9 July 2019 starring the endearing Emily Blunt as the title character. In case you didn’t see the blockbuster film in the cinemas over Christmas or are just in need of some whimsical family fun – this is a must watch!
[JULY 1st] Philadelphia (1993) is an excellent movie about the unlikely friendship between two lawyers (Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington) who must battle AIDS, homophobia, and office politics. Also available to stream on Amazon Prime.
[JULY 1st] Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) is a feel-good wholesome comedy starring Kevin James and Glee‘s Jayma Mays that will be enjoyable for the whole family.
[JULY 1st] Book of Eli (2010) – Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman star in a post-apocalyptic neo-western action film about a nomad (Washington) who is instructed to bring his mysterious book to a safe facility in Western America in the hopes of saving mankind. He faces opposition primarily from Oldman’s Carnegie who wants the book for his own evil reasons. Both Christians and non-Christians will enjoy this post-apocalyptic story but beware that the movie is rated R for brutal violence and adult language.
