Happy New Years, my friends! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas holiday. But seriously where does the time go?
This past year sure was an “exciting” one with way too many stays in hospital and now being on oxygen 24/7 since October. Unfortunately due to my increased weakness I have been unable to go to therapy and just last month started driving short distances such as to the doctor and post office sometimes with terrible dizziness and extreme weakness as a result. But as Natasha always reminded me, “step by step”.
On a positive note, I went to the theater ? this past weekend to see The King and I non equity tour with my bff. I had been nervous to go out to the theater with my oxygen but didn’t get one bad look. Yay.
As for my health, I saw my pulmonary specialist at Cedars-Sinai last week and he does not believe I have the rare disease in my lungs that the biopsy suggested so I am now taking a high dosage of steroids for about half a year to hopefully get me off oxygen. The list of side effects are dastardly but I have to weigh that with the chance to get some normalcy by going oxygen free. We shall see…
So what are your resolutions for 2019?
My list is simple but big with hopes and dreams attached…
1) Get off oxygen and back to Physical Therapy.
2) Read my Bible daily
Happy New Years! Here’s to hopefully some fun and laughter and love and good health for all.
