Uwe Kröger was born in West Germany, educated at Hochschule der Künste, and had his breakthrough performance in 1992 as Tod (“Death”) in Elisabeth. He went on to star in the German premieres of many famous English speaking roles such as Chris in Miss Saigon, Beast in The Beauty and The Beast and Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard.
