This afternoon I met up with Kritika from Zomato and had a chance to chat about food blogging and her company, Zomato, where foodies can post reviews, photos and also search for tonight’s choice watering hole or restaurant. I was so impressed that I have signed up and have my own Zomato account ( so if you are on Zomato do add/follow me! 🙂
Our meeting place was the quintessential and charming The Breakfast Club in North London near to Angel Station. The cheery yellow entrance and good sized crowd at the 3 o’clock hour promised for a charming hour.  With the sun peeking out, Kritika and I sat at one of their outside tables on the elevated patio. The chairs were comfortable and the table spacious enough for two with the pedestrian thoroughfare being the only distraction, albeit it minor.
For my afternoon tea – I chose a cup of English Breakfast tea with milk and an apple cobbler with custard and berries. The tea came in a friendly and cheery mug with a smiley face but I was surprised to see a large chip at the top of the mug.
Truly though it was the cobbler that was the star of my afternoon tea. Delicious and my only complaint was that there was not enough custard to cover the entire cobbler and my last few bites were therefore dry. But o so yummy!
If you have never before ventured to one of The Breakfast Club cafes, I would highly recommend a visit for a business meeting or casual chit-chat with friends over afternoon tea. I will definitely be coming back for breakfast as the menu boasted some delicious sounding pancakes and mango smoothies.
