Happy Tuesday. Today let’s talk about CLAUDIA, a not well known women of the Bible. Her only mention is 2 Timothy 4:21 –

Make every effort to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, also Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brethren.

Some might suggest that this is the wife of Pilate as named in the apocryphal Gospel of Nicodemus. (Trivia: in the Gospels, Pilate’s wife is never named.) However, there is no evidence that this Claudia is at all related to Pilate. Perhaps instead she is connected to Pudens or Linus? Theories have been floated around but there is no serious proof or evidence.

What is worth mentioning is that she is one of the few women that St. Paul mentions in his greetings.
