What to Watch on Netflix

Hi Guys. Can you believe that December is here?! Where has the time gone? Yesterday we focused on what to watch on Amazon Prime during the month of December and today I want to share some favorites that are available to watch on Netflix --
What are you planning to watch on Netflix this month? Here are some favorites listed by The Joyous Living.

What to Watch (New in December):

1. Meet Joe Black (December 1) starring Anthony Hopkins and a young and handsome Brad Pitt was a favorite for my roommates and me to watch in university. #romance #comedy

Parent Note -There is a disrobing scene (the woman strips to her underwear) that leads to a sex scene (no nudity). There is an "F" word plus other dirty language such as the "A" word and sh**. The story focuses on Death coming to Manhattan to experience life and lead another character to the "other world".

2. The Theory of Everything (December 16) is the 2014 Oscar winning biopic about Stephen Hawking and his wife, Jane.

Parent Note - There is a fully nude woman shown in a brief clip featuring Penthouse the Magazine. There are a few uses of the d@** word in addition to other mild adult language.

3. Avengers - Infinity War (December 25) is Netflix's Marvel offering for Christmas. Personally I prefer Amazon's Iron Man 2 but if you like a mass meeting of your favorite superheroes this might be the one for you.
Parent Note -The violence is ramped up considerably compared to other Marvel movies with some torture and several impalings and crushings in addition to the usual comic book action. Adult language is continually peppered throughout with uses of "sh--," "a--," "d@--". There are also a few almost uses of the f word.

4. Michael Jackson's This is It (December 10) is a documentary that documents how Michael Jackson prepared for his concert of the same name.

Parent Note - As would be expected from a Michael Jackson concert, there are suggestive dance moves and images.

Christmas Movies in My Watchlist:

1. The Princess Switch (2018) is a Netflix original Christmas movie starring So You Think You Can Dance's Vanessa Hudgens in duel roles in this modern Christmas remaking of The Prince and The Pauper. Since I have yet to see the movie, here is a review from Common Sense Media.

2. The Star (2017) tells the story of the Nativity through the eyes and voices of some lovable barnyard animals in this animated movie.

3. Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime (1999) is a medley of three short Christmas animated cartoons featuring Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey/Minnie. My favorite has to be the third based on the classic O Henry "The Gift of the Magi".

4. White Christmas (1954) is my favorite classic Christmas feel good movie starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. With timeless songs such as "What Can You Do With a General Who Retires?" and "Blue Skies" and beautiful dancing from Kaye and the itty-bitty Vera Ellen you'll be thoroughly charmed.

5. The Christmas Chronicles (2018) is an original Netflix series starring Kurt Russell as Santa Claus. Since I have not seen the series yet, here is Common Sense Media's review.
