Coming Soon: MOSES comes to Cinemas in September!

HI guys! I am so excited to announce that Sight and Sound Theatres' Moses is coming to the big screen in September for three days only! And you are not going to want to miss out. If you have only ever seen the famous Charlton Heston's Ten Commandments you will learn a more accurate accounting from the Bible and if you have only ever experienced the story through Sunday School you'll be amazed as the Bible story comes to life before your own eyes with some fantastic and incredibly realistic looking visuals -- be prepared to gasp when Moses' staff turns into the serpent, etc.
Filmed in front of a live audience at Sight and Sound Theatres, MOSES is the original stage production that has thrilled nearly 2 million people (!!). Now families across the country can experience this epic Bible story as it comes to life in movie theaters for three days only: September 13, 15 and 20 including the AMC Thousand Oaks 14 in Thousand Oaks, CA, Regal Metropolitan Stadium 14 in Austin, TX, and Orange Stadium Promenade 25 in Orange, CA, among the hundreds of other cinemas across the U.S.

About the Production

The original, live stage production of MOSES debuted in 2014 at Sight and Sound Theatres in Lancaster, PA, then appeared in Branson, MO for the 2016-17 season. The filmed version captures all the spectacle and grand scale that are signatures of a Sight and Sound show. Action takes place on three sides of the audience on a 300-foot panoramic stage . . . and in the aisles!

Taking MOSES to cinemas marks the second time Sight and Sound has moved one of its productions from the stage to the screen.

JONAH played in movie theaters nationwide in 2017 and is still available for audiences to see on HULU and also for purchase on Amazon Prime. You can also buy the DVDs and albums from Sight and Sound itself for many of their previous productions including RUTH (that starred Les Miserables 3NT alum David Felty as Boaz).

In addition to the feature, audiences will also join a behind-the-scenes look at the amazing history of Sight and Sound Theatres®.

About Sight and Sound Theatres

Sight and Sound Theatres began more than 40 years ago in rural Pennsylvania, where a dairy farmer went from producing milk to producing live entertainment with a purpose. Today that vision has expanded to two state-of-the art theaters in Lancaster, PA, and Branson, MO, where stories from the Bible come to life on stage. Each production features Sight and Sound’s signature massive sets, special effects and live animals. Still family-owned, Sight and Sound's 675 staff members write, produce, design and build the original shows, drawing nearly 1.5 million audience members from around the world each year.

Fun Facts

● The dozens of live animals in the show include horses, camels, donkeys, sheep, goats . . . (and stay alert for the trained rats)
● MOSES’ massive sets reach as high as three stories (30 feet).
● MOSES’ 60 sets cost $2.5 million.
● The burning-bush effect took a year to develop. In concert with God’s voice, the
dramatic “flame” changes color, texture and temperature.
● MOSES features 379 costume designs for 880 costumes. Sight and Sound’s seamstresses sewed 16,000 snaps on by hand and used 12,348 yards of fabric— enough to wrap the theatre 46 times. The show features miles of hair, too, 400 wigs and 125 beards and mustaches.

Are you sold? My review will be airing on 12 September but in the meantime don't miss out on your chance to see this incredible production as only Fathom Events can bring to the cinemas. And if you are part of a school, social group or church you might just need to sign up for group tickets (10+). Remember, there are cinemas all over the U.S. showing this special stage production in September including Alaska.
