Hi Guys!
I'm back from Cedar Sinai (went for my 2nd consultation on Thursday last week) and what a headache trying to figure it all out and make my next move... :o

    Amanda Welborn here from Kidsville:-) I just watched your vlog. I was not aware you were still having health issues! I knew awhile back you had had some things going on but I have not kept up on Facebook and did not know your current status. Anyways, I too, have been struggling with health problems that sound somewhat like a mild version of yours for the past 4.5 years. It has been a loooong haul with doctors and trying a million different things in an attempt to eliminate my chronic joint pain, extreme fatigue, mental fogginess, skin breakouts, bad mood, etc!

    I have have had a recent breakthrough that I will share with you. Who knows, it may help!

    I have had known for awhile that my symptoms are inflammation-based and after much trial and error I have found that the best way for me to control my "flares" is sticking to an extreme diet. I have wished a thousand times that there was some easy cure or medicine that would fix everything and allow me to maintain the lifestyle I want (which is eating anything I want and going to restaurants!) but I have had to come to the conclusion that I will never be able to eat like a "normal" person:( I have been following the "Autoimmune Paleo Diet". Everything it eliminates are the things I have, over the years, connected to my "flares". It is like an extreme elimination diet that has you avoid all inflammatory/allergens. It is a no caffeine/coffee, sugar, grains, dairy, nightshades, allergens kind of a diet. I'm telling you, it is extreme! It is terrible to eat this way but I have completely eliminated my symptoms and have felt amazing for the first time in 4.5 years so to my it is totally worth it.

    The best cookbook I have found to follow this protocol is called the "Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook" by Mickey Tresott, as it is really hard to know what you can eat since there is a very small list. You eat mostly meat, vegetables, and fruit the first month and then start introducing other foods slowly so you can watch for symptoms. It will be very clear what you can and can't eat and if your issues are inflammation/diet based you will feel amazing after the first week or two. I have done other elimination diets before but this is the one I have had the best results with. Anyways, it is all spelled out in the beginning of the book.

    It may not help you at all, or maybe you have been down this path?, but I just wanted to put it out there in case your disease process it similar to mine.
