At the British Consul General's residence in LA, the doors were open and the well-lit dining room was graciously opened to the media. As we were ushered into the dining room, there was a mouth-watering spread of desserts on the pristine white table cloth.
here. And if the photo isn't tempting enough remember that Princess Diana told Nigel Dempster, the Royal Reporter at the Daily Mail, that "Darren makes the best bread and butter pudding in the world!"

And then there was the traditional chocolate birthday cake that was served. Mind you, Chef McGrady and the rest of the Royal Chefs never wrote "Your Majesty" or any other name on the cake. It was always signed and served simply, "Happy Birthday".
