Freya SS15: Meet the Icon and Fancies

Who doesn't love a chance to add something pretty and pink to their wardrobe? European brand, Freya Lingerie, dedicates itself "to giving you fashion that fits beautifully and looks gorgeous, including lingerie, swimwear and sportswear" and they have put together a gorgeous SS15 collection as highlighted in my previous post here.

On a second perusal of their easy-to-navigate website, I noticed their Icon Milkshake Moulded Plunge Bra (see photo inset left) in a flirty and charming sorbet shade. The company's official description says:
"The moulded plunge bra offers excellent uplift, shape and support with moulded cup liners in a bold and beautiful shade of pink. A contrasting apricot stretch lace overlay completes the look and provides a comfortable and easy fit."
So how did it measure up? I realllllly wanted to love this bra based on the photos and my own first impression when I got it in the post. Unfortunately, the bra just does not fit well but I am rushing ahead.
First the "pro's":
  • Beautiful color
  • Nice design/concept
  • Lacy is stretchy and can be easily repositioned
  • Great underneath support and uplift
Now for the con's...
  • The cup liners are too small and the nipple falls out (oops!) meaning you're constantly readjusting yourself
  • The straps are positioned (as pictured) meaning they have a tendency to fall of the shoulders despite tightening the straps
I really wanted to love this bra so have literally tried every trick I know to fix these cons but unfortunately it seems to be a problem w/o a solution. I even thought maybe it was just not liking my figure but had a friend try it on too and nope same issues.

On a positive note, the Freya Fancies underpants (see photo inset) are uber cute and comfortable that go well with any favorite lace bra.

You can find Freya in your local department stores including -
London: Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser, and Debenhams
United States: Nordstroms

I hope to try another Freya design and hopefully can give high marks next time.

Until then,
