Mum, Dad and I took the National Express up to Bath for the day on Tuesday the 17th.
And what a gorgeous day it was!
The Crescent is one of my favourite places -- a perfect place for a picnic or nap with a great background.
But I am getting ahead of myself. We decided to go on the free mayor's walking tour which started at the Bath Pump Room doors. While mum and I had taken the tour before, this was dad's first visit and worthwhile to get a good lay of the land.
The value of the tour obviously is dependent on the tour guide you have but you certainly will see some lovely parts of Bath.
And meet some historical figures such as Beau Nash although whether your tour guide gives a good summary of the man's contributions to the city is to be seen.
One of my favourite places in Bath --
where Jane Austen's Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth spoke of their love. I want my Mr. Right (whenever he shows up, lol) to propose on this path. <3
We quickly moved on to the Circus where Nicholas Cage once lived. These houses are by no means cheap.
Lastly, we went to the Fashion Museum & Assembly Rooms where I imagined myself to be Catherine Moreland at her first ball in Bath meeting the dashing Mr. Tilney.

What a gorgeous city full of history and literary significance. I do hope you have a chance to visit too! Taking the coach by way of National Express is a relatively inexpensive journey (£5 each way at the best of times) and only takes 2 1/2 hours.
