Hillsong London & VQ

It's another fabulous Sunday in London and I have to give a shout out the fabulous church family I found. Hillsong London is based at the Dominion Theatre off Tottenham Court Road.

I was fortunate to meet a beautiful lady my age, Cat, and her group of friends at the 11 a.m. service my first Sunday (last week) and I was really pleased and excited to see them all again this Sunday. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, generous and beautiful. And last week we all cheered for one couple who just got engaged and this weekend another happy bit of news that another couple was engaged. Maybe there's something in the water there, lol. ;)

And the two guest speakers have been fan-tas-tic! Last week we heard from Pastor Robert Madu and today from Pastor Ray Bevan. Both are charismatic, enthusiastic, full of great wisdom and Godly men. Pastor Madu spoke about "a formula for a great year" and encouraged us to trust God no matter the season.  Pastor Bevan sang and played his harmonica (!) before preaching on "shout(ing) louder then the bullies" and shared the memorable slogan -- Religion commands you to march. Grace invites you to dance.

So after services, we went out to lunch at VQ which is down the street from the Dominion Theatre. A number of the Hillsong family heads over after services including the group I've gotten to know. This time around, we were one of the last groups to arrive and so we had to wait for tables to clear but it was just as amazing. The food is good, the company is fantastic and it's fun being surrounded by the church family.

Today several from our group got the set menu (2 courses for £11,95) including some haddock and a really warm chocolate brownie with iced cream. The brownie was de-li-ci-ous! Yum, yum.
