An Hour @ the GROVE

05 October 2013

A block away from BLD (where I had brunch) is LA's The GROVE, one of my favorite mid-Wilshire haunts (in particular at Christmas time). After a heavy brunch, a walk around the plaza was just what the doctor would have recommended.
I had previously considered visiting the Grove to catch a glimpse of David Tutera (master/guru of party planning) but the thought had flown from my mind so when I was headed back to the parking structure I was surprised (pleasantly) to spot the man himself signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Mr. Tutera's My Fair Wedding on WE is a guilty pleasure -- coveting the gorgeous designs and imagining David Tutera as my own party planner -- so I jumped at the random opportunity and he was very generous to take a photo with me even though I must have sounded like a dunce with my "I love your show" comments. Lol. Gotta love those tongue tying moments.

One of the best parts of the Grove is the central fountain.
Parking at the Grove's parking structure is free for the first hour. The second hour is $4. Some stores and restaurants offer validation so go ahead and check (never hurts!).
